The Bath Friendly Building Block Toy
We love playing in the bath with Blockaroos. We recently took some pictures of some of our most recent adventures with these toddler building blocks. Once again – Blockaroos have proven to be our favorite building block toy. Hopefully these Blockaroo ideas inspire you!
Any Blockaroo set can work in the tub – you can find the one we used on Amazon below:
Why are Blockaroos such great toddler toys for the tub?
Blockaroos are great for the tub because they float, they are easy to clean (check out our guide), and they keep their magnetism well and because they arent so sturdy that a bathtime tidal wave won’t create some havoc!
These toys are great on land too – check out our landlubber idea guide
Blockaroo Boat: Ramming Speed!
This Blockaroo is designed to ram other boats or unsuspecting bathers! It is sturdy and floats well – but it will fall apart if some larger power grabs onto the string holding together its two dual masts.
Blockaroo Catamaran
The Blockaroo Catamaran is one of the most sea worthy vessels in the tub, using its dual hull structure to stay upright. It is not however about to compete for the America’s Cup anytime soon as when it is in motion, it does not go straight.
Catamaran – Evolved
Blockaroos are a great building block toy because they are so easy to adjust! After seeing our issues with our first Catamaran – we made some design tweaks! Still not quite ready to represent the United States of America – but getting there.
The Balancer
Sometimes there can be rough seas in the tub! This Blockaroo ship was designed to stay above water in almost any conditions! These magnetic foam blocks were put to the test – and they held.
The Relaxed Boater
After the high seas incident – we tried out a more simple boating experience. This was much more relaxing.
The Hammerhead
This was the 2.0 version of the earlier ramming Blockaroo boat. Note that this version was extremely easy to be disrupted in high seas!
Up Periscope
This Blockaroo ship was designed to look outside the tub. It was able to achieve that – but almost instantly toppled over.
We hope you enjoyed our Blockaroo ideas. We get a lot of enjoyment out of our Blockaroos. And the best part is that after a long hard day in the tub – its easy to just let them dry and soon they will be ready for their next adventure.
